Patrol: Car turned into their path; one flown to hospital

COITSVILLE -- Two people are in critical condition, and one person is in serious condition following a Sunday afternoon crash involving two motorcycles and another vehicle while the motorcyclists were taking part in a fundraising motorcycle run.
One of the motorcyclists, a woman, was taken by helicopter to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, according to the Canfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The other two motorcyclists were taken to St. Elizabeth by ambulance.
The crash happened just before 1:30 p.m. on state Route 616, north of Walker Drive, in Coitsville Township. The patrol said a southbound passenger car made a left turn into a private driveway into the path of two northbound motorcycles who were participating in the Ninth Annual Teddy Foltz Memorial Run, which is a fundraiser for the Support Teddy Foltz Memorial Fund.
Reports state the crash happened shortly after the bike rally left Papa's Sports Bar on Poland Avenue in Youngstown.
The patrol said the motorcyclists took evasive action to avoid hitting the car and went off the east side of the road. The driver of one of the motorcycles and a driver and passenger of the other motorcycle were ejected and only one was wearing a helmet, the patrol said.
Route 616 was closed for several hours while the crash was being investigated and the scene was cleared.
No names had been released as of Sunday evening.
Teddy Foltz was 14 when he was murdered by the boyfriend of his mother, Shain Widdersheim, on Jan. 26, 2013. Zaryl Bush is serving a 33-years-to-life prison sentence after pleading guilty and being convicted of murder in the case after years of ongoing abuse.
Widdersheim pleaded guilty to four counts of child endangerment and one count of obstruction of justice after instructing Teddy's siblings to lie about his death. A manslaughter charge against her was dropped as she was not present at the time of Teddy's murder. She was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Sept. 10, 2013.
