Belmont Avenue to close due to work at St. E’s

YOUNGSTOWN — Belmont Avenue between Caroline Street and Park Avenue on the North Side will be closed to traffic from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday.

The closing is caused by a crane that will be blocking the road while doing rooftop repairs at the St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital complex.

Detours will be posted rerouting traffic via Park Avenue to Covington Street to Parmelee Avenue, according to Charles T. Shasho, the city’s deputy director of public works.
