Woman charged in stabbing Sunday

YOUNGSTOWN ä A 68-year-old woman who lives in a Springdale apartment complex is charged with felonious assault connected to a stabbing Sunday afternoon of a 60-year-old man.

A police report states Tamara Robinson of 1400 Springdale, Apt. 304, was taken into custody about 4 p.m. Officers said a man reported a woman stabbed him in the hand while he was trying to leave her apartment.

Officers spotted blood droplets coming from the elevator and blood also on the buttons in the elevator and blood in the third-floor hallway.

The man was treated by paramedics, the police report statesd, but he refused to be taken to the hospital.

Police recovered the weapon, a kitchen knife, probably a paring knife that officer found blood on the blade.

Robinson was still in custody as of Monday afternoon, held without bond, pending an appearance in Youngstown Municipal Court.
