Governor to visit dispatch center in Valley this week
Among Gov. Mike DeWine’s proposals for the state budget is to use funding for the next-generation emergency 911 system. He will visit the Trumbull County 911 Dispatch Center in Howland on Thursday to discuss that proposal. DeWine is planning to visit eight counties, including Trumbull, today and Thursday to promote his priorities.
Trumbull County Commissioner Denny Malloy said he hopes the visit will make the governorás team more sensitive to the 911 centerás needs when the county makes future requests for improvement funds.
“Any time the governor comes to Trumbull County to announce a big project is an honor,” Malloy said. “This places Trumbull County on the map. Gov. DeWine knows Trumbull is a good partner.”
