WRTA to stop VA hospital route
YOUNGSTOWN — Western Reserve Transit Authority is discontinuing its Akron Express route March 11 due to lower ridership.
The route ran Monday through Friday, leaving Federal Station in Youngstown at 10:40 a.m. and 4:40 p.m. each day. It was mainly designed to help veterans get to the VA hospital in Cleveland.
The route launched in December, but ridership never really took off, according to a news release.
