REO, Iris coming to Youngstown amp

YOUNGSTOWN — REO Speedwagon and Donnie Iris & the Cruisers will play the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre on June 21.

REO Speedwagon sold more than 40 million albums in its career and it released nine consecutive platinum-selling albums between 1977 and 1989. Its hits include “Ridin’ The Storm Out,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Time For Me To Fly,” “Roll With The Changes,” “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It On the Run.”

Iris, who is celebrating his 80th birthday with a concert March 11 at UPMC Events Center near Pittsburgh, has been a Mahoning Valley favorite for decades and is best known for such hits as “Ah! Leah!” and “Love Is Like a Rock.”

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show range from $42.50 to $125 and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday at the Covelli Centre’s Southwoods Health box office and through Ticketmaster. An online-only presale runs 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday with the password: LIVEITUP.
