Youngstown man seriously injured in Hubbard Township crash
HUBBARD TOWNSHIP — The Warren post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle, serious-injury crash that occurred just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. Route 62 and Interstate 80 exit ramp.
Edward Imburgia, 80, of Youngstown, was operating a 1999 Toyota Corolla eastbound on the I-80 ramp to Route 62, and Jalesse R. Bey, 28, also of Youngstown, was operating a 2008 Dodge Nitro southbound in the right lane of Route 62.
Imburgia was stopped at the stop sign and started to cross Route 62 and was struck by Bey, a release from the patrol states. Imburgia was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the vehicle, and was transported to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with serious injuries.
Bey suffered minor injuries.
