GIRARD -- Police are investigating a pedestrian / vehicle crash that occurred about 2 a.m. Wednesday that sent a man to a local hospital.
According to a police report, the driver was taken into custody shortly after the crash on East Howard Street near Stewart Avenue. No condition on the pedestrian was given.
Meanwhile, Sharon, Pa., police reported a 91-year-old Sharpsville, Pa., man has died from injuries resulting from a Dec. 3 pedestrian / vehicle crash on East State Street near Case Avenue in downtown Sharon.
Police said Donald Sebastian of Sharpsville died Dec. 16 of the injuries he sustained during the crash that is still under investigation.
Reports state Sebastian was crossing East State Street in a northbound direction when he was struck by a vehicle driven by an 80-year-old Sharpsville man who was not injured in the crash.
The Mercer County District Attorney's office is deciding whether to file charges in the crash, the report states.
