Mahoning County 3rd highest in Ohio with holiday traffic incidents
Mahoning County had the third highest number of traffic incidents among the state’s 88 counties over the Thanksgiving holiday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Out of 13,253 traffic incidents, there were 350 in Mahoning County over the period that started Wednesday and ended Sunday. There were 192 incidents in Trumbull County and 129 in Columbiana County. None of the three counties had a fatality.
Incidents include crashes, OVIs, distracted driving, seatbelt violations and felony warrants.
Across Ohio there were 16 traffic fatalities, one less than in 2021, according to the patrol.
