Man arrested after leading police on chase ending in Youngstown

BROOKFIELD — When police sought to stop a driver at 652 W. Liberty St., Hubbard, for a traffic violation shortly after 10:13 a.m. Tuesday, the driver took off — leading them on a chase that reached speeds that were nearly 100 mph through various communities and ending in Youngstown.

The driver. a man whose name was not provided in a report, was eventually stunned by police officers using a Taser weapon at approximately 10:33 a.m. in Youngstown. He was stopped at the intersection of Guss Avenue and Jacobs Road. There was a female passenger in the vehicle. The chase went through Brookfield, Liberty and into Youngstown.
