Ryan, Vance propose different debates
The Senate campaigns of U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan and J.D. Vance announced the candidates want to debate, but haven’t agreed on when or where.
Ryan’s campaign first announced Friday the Democratic nominee agreed to three debates: Sept. 26 in Youngstown, sponsored by WFMJ TV; Oct. 4 on Miami University’s Hamilton campus, sponsored by WLWT TV; and Oct. 12 at the Akron-Summit County Public Library, sponsored by the Ohio Debate Commission.
Later Friday, Vance’s campaign said the Republican nominee would debate Oct. 4, but at WJW, a Cleveland TV station. It also agreed to a WLWT debate in Hamilton, but at a date to be determined.
