LIBERTY — The Liberty Local School District had two threats made against it this week that Liberty police are now investigating.

The first occurred on Monday, prompting the district to cancel school activities for the day, and the second threat was made Thursday night. In a statement, Liberty police Chief Toby Meloro said, “We are doing everything we can to protect our teachers, students, coaches and all members of our community.”

No information was released about the specifics of the threat.
