Man indicted on Boardman kidnapping, assault charges

YOUNGSTOWN — Jeremy E. Telego, 40, of the Mahoning County jail and Columbiana Road, New Springfield, was indicted Thursday on kidnapping, felonious assault, abduction and aggravated menacing.

He was arrested July 18 at the Boardman Inn, 7109 Market St., on warrants of kidnapping and felonious assault, according to Boardman police.

The charges stem from an incident July 16 through July 17 in which he is accused of holding a woman against her will and assaulting her at the Wagon Wheel Motel, 7015 Market St. She said she had been at a concert July 16 with Telego and he became intoxicated.

She said they argued on the way to the motel, and then he pulled her out of the car and dragged her across a parking lot and into the motel room. He also would not let her leave and assaulted her, she said.

She eventually escaped through a bathroom window while Telego was sleeping, she said. She was treated at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital for injuries to her ear and bruising elsewhere on her body.
