YOUNGSTOWN -- A 21-year-old Foster Street woman is being held on charges of domestic violence and endangering children.

She is held in connection with an incident in the 2200 block of Logan Avenue on Wednesday morning, in which a 1-year-old boy was found unattended playing on gravel near the busy thoroughfare.

The police report stated the child was brought to safety as officers responded to a domestic call in the area. The report states a young couple was arguing near where the child was found, and a silver 2014 Mercedes was parked on a grassy area across from the couple.

The police report states a woman, identified as Takia Jones, refused to cooperate with officers and had thrown property around the vacant lot from the vehicle. She was wildly waving her arms in not complying with orders from the officers who were taking her into custody, the report notes.

An arraignment for Jones has not been scheduled in Youngstown Municipal Court, but jail records show she is being held without bond.

The report adds that officers learned there was an argument between the couple about housing for the woman and the child, and the status of the vehicle.
