YOUNGSTOWN -- A 27-year-old East Indianola Avenue man remains in Mahoning County jail pending the posting of a $12,000 bond after his arrest following a police chase on the South Side.
Authorities found a man running away from a gray Mitsubishi vehicle that made an illegal turn from South Avenue and Palmer Street on Tuesday, according to a police report.
Police later arrested the man who had run to a nearby Cambridge Street address and got onto a front porch, telling the residents: "You know who I am."
The residents would not lie for the man, identified as Wilson D. Nadal, who was taken into custody.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers also joined in the pursuit of Nadal and the vehicle, according to a Youngstown police report.
The report states two baggies of suspected drugs including crack cocaine, a digital scale and $406 in cash were found in the Mitsubishi.
Nadal is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drugs, obstructing official business and violating a protection order. He also was found to have a warrant for a 2019 charge of aggravated menacing.
Youngstown Municipal Court records show that Nadal was arraigned Wednesday on the aggravated menacing charge and will appear again July 20 for a pretrial hearing before Judge Renee DiSalvo.
