Anthony Wilkins and Anjuan Whitfield are the two 16-year-old boys charged Wednesday with aggravated murder and a three-year gun specification in the murder of Landon Lockhart, 14.

Wilkins and Whitfield will be arraigned in Mahoning County Juvenile Court on July 6. Both boys have been housed in Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center since May 11 on unrelated matters, said Wes Skeels, juvenile court administrator.

The body of Lockhart, 14, was found Jan. 13 in a wooded area off of North Truesdale Avenue on the East Side.

Lockhart, of Parkwood Avenue on the South Side, had gone missing Nov. 21, 2021.
