Campbell K-6 School and the Northeast Ohio Impact Academy received state grants to make safety upgrades.

The K-6 school is receiving $99,617 while the academy, located in Lowellville, is getting $24,916.72 through Ohio’s K-12 School Safety Grant Program.

The two are among 98 schools in the state to receive a total of $4.8 million in funding from the program, according to a Thursday announcement by Gov. Mike DeWine.

Funds can be used to pay for security cameras, public address systems, automatic door locks and visitor badge systems.
