AUSTINTOWN — Stephen Paynter, a 54-year-old Austintown man, died as a result of a motorcycle-SUV crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Paynter was southbound on a motorcycle on state Route 46 around 7:30 p.m. Friday when an SUV driven by Angelica Burns, 26, of Youngstown, traveling northbound, turned in front of him to get onto the Interstate 80 on ramp.

Paynter was thrown from his motorcycle after it hit the rear right side of Burns’ vehicle, the patrol said.

There have been no charges filed against Burns with the incident still under investigation, the patrol said.
