Sebring man indicted on child-rape charge

YOUNGSTOWN — Michael W. Vanhorn, 35, of Lake Park Road in Sebring, was indicted Thursday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on nine charges, including child rape.

His other charges are three counts of corrupting another with drugs, three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, one count of contributing to the unruliness or delinquency of a child and one count of failure to comply with underage alcohol laws.

Kara Vanhorn, 31, also of the Lake Park Road address, was indicted with Michael Vanhorn. Her charges are child endangering, corrupting another with drugs, contributing to the unruliness or delinquency of a child and failure to comply with underage alcohol laws.

All of the Vanhorns’ charges involve alleged conduct from late last November through mid-December.

Others indicted Thursday are:

Herman W. Brink, 43, Liberty Road, domestic violence;

Gary E. Ryan Jr., 35, Mahoning County jail, aggravated burglary with a violent offender specification and notice of prior conviction specification; aggravated burglary with a repeat violent offender specification, notice of prior conviction specification and 54-month firearm specification; felonious assault with a pregnant victim specification, repeat violent offender specification, notice of prior conviction specification and 54-month firearm specification; violating a protection order with a 54-month firearm specification; being a felon in possession of a firearm; and domestic violence with a 54-month firearm specification;

Teon D. Stennis, 29, Southern Boulevard, trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, possession of a fentanyl-

related compound, cocaine trafficking, cocaine possession, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, all with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case, and one count tampering with evidence;

Brian N. Spinks, 36, 14th Street, Sebring, permitting drug abuse;

Jason L. Womack, 36, Mahoning County jail, grand theft of a motor vehicle, failure to comply with the order of a police officer and receiving stolen property;

Dustin L. James, 37, Shields Road, Boardman, two counts of felonious assault, three counts of assault, and single counts of obstructing official business and resisting arrest;

Stephen Tate, 36, Elliott Lane, cocaine possession, aggravated drug possession, petty theft and failure to appear as required by recognizance;

William L. Sublett, 43, Salinas Trail, Boardman, fentanyl-related compound possession and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia;

Ijnanya S. Rollins, 39, Bonnie Brae Avenue, aggravated burglary, abduction and obstructing official business;

Shawn M. Braxton, 28, Canterbury Lane, Boardman, aggravated drug possession, fentanyl-related compound possession and cocaine possession;

Christopher J. Connelly, 42, Coitsville Road, Campbell, cocaine possession;

Antwuan T. Reese, 24, West Evergreen Avenue, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

Timothy E. Jernigan, 32, Oregon Trail, Boardman, being a felon in possess of a firearm and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.
