Man indicted on sex charges

YOUNGSTOWN — Nicholas J. Sammartino, 23, was indicted Thursday on unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, importuning, sexual imposition, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person and illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity oriented material.

He was booked into the Mahoning County jail Jan. 10 on several sex charges after the Mahoning Valley Violent Crimes Task Force arrested him on the charges.

The offenses are alleged to have happened Dec. 15, according to Youngstown Municipal Court documents. Importuning in Ohio is soliciting another person below a certain age to engage in sexual activity with the offender.

Others indicted are:

• Larnell J. Hall, 37, Milton Avenue, felonious assault with a repeat violent offender specification and two counts of domestic violence.

• William R. McConnell, 27, Narcissa Street, Struthers, assault and obstructing official business.

• John J. Reid, 33, Mahoning County jail, felonious assault and domestic violence.

• Charles Gray, 35, Winona Drive, burglary and criminal damaging or endangering.

• Garry L. Conrad, 44, Mahoning County jail, failure to comply with the order of a police officer, obstructing official business, escape and receiving stolen property.

• James A. Rivera, 35, Powers Way, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon.

• Carmen S. Guerra, 39, Bolivar, Ohio, trespass in a habitation and criminal damaging or endangering.

• Jie M. Cleveland, 22, Sharon, Pa., fentanyl related compound possession with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case.

• Kevin K. Neal, 53, Mahoning County jail, impersonating a peace officer or private police officer with a gun specification and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

• Akeem M. Hargrove, 28, Parkcliff Avenue, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and drug possession with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case.

• Antonio L. Crockett, 36, Mahoning County jail, cocaine possession with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case, being a felon in possession of a firearm and fentanyl related compound possession with a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case.

• Robert D. Duval, 41, Mahoning County jail, failure to comply with the order of a police officer, aggravated drug possession, fentanyl related compound possession, heroin possession, cocaine possession and drug possession.

• Devin M. Habib, 35, Canterbury Lane, Boardman, being a felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of violating a protection order.

• Michael R. Holby, 29, South Maryland Avenue, burglary.
