WHAT: Council meeting Wednesday

PRESENT: Michael Patrick, Richard Bayus, Dallas Bigley, Lori Greenwood, James Baluck, Ronald Carcelli, Robert Burnside and Mayor Catherine Cercone Miller

Council:

• Approved an ordinance to approve current replacement pages to the Struthers codified ordinances;

• Approved an ordinance adopting the revised collective bargaining agreement between the city and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, Ohio Council 8, Local 759 and AFL-CIO as a result of the parties’ reopener negotiations;

• Approved an ordinance authorizing the mayor and safety service director to enter into a contract with K.O. Consulting for grant services for calendar year 2022;

• President Michael Patrick announced a change of procedure for council attendees to create a consistent protocol for both council meetings and court. Guests should enter the back door of city hall for meetings, parking is available in the back. A metal detector and a security guard on duty will check guests, and guests must sign in for meetings. Bags and purses are not allowed in the building.
