Auto dealership founder dies

The founder of Greewood Chevrolet, Wayne C. Greenwood Jr., 88, died Wednesday in Greensburg, Pa., according to an obituary from Hancock Funeral Home in Fort Meade, Fla.

Known as “Bud” to many, he started his career in car sales working alongside his father, Wayne C. Greenwood Sr., at Greenwood Auto in Cortland. He later owned and operated Greenwood Chevrolet in Austintown and Greenwood Eagle Chevrolet in Hubbard.

He also founded a cattle ranch, B-J Ranch, in Fort Meade, which he operated with his late wife, Jean.

Greenwood’s full obituary is scheduled to appear in Sunday’s newspaper.
