YOUNGSTOWN — Police have arrested a man in connection with the early Monday morning shooting death of Joseph Addison, 42, at an apartment complex in the 2400 block of Tyrell Avenue on the city’s lower West Side.

Marquez Thomas, 24, was arrested on charges of aggravated murder and three counts of felonious assault after search warrants were executed by Youngstown police and the Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team on Glenellen and Tyrell avenues on Thursday, a news release from Youngstown Police Capt. Jason Simon states.

Thomas will be arraigned on the charges Monday in Youngstown Municipal Court.

In addition to Addison, three other people were injured in the apartment complex shooting: a 21-year-old man, a 34-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman. All three survived.
