Bond set at $45K for man accused of shooting
YOUNGSTOWN — Bond was set at $45,000 for Damon L. Jefferson, 27, when he was arraigned Wednesday in Youngstown Municipal Court in the early Monday shooting of his girlfriend in a home in the 2900 block of Rush Boulevard on the South Side.
Jefferson is charged with felonious assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm. If convicted, he could get a prison sentence of about 10 years.
The woman, 23, was in critical condition at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital after the 2:15 a.m. shooting. The woman was found outside of the home.
