YOUNGSTOWN — Parishioners are mourning the death of Lock P. Beachum Jr., pastor at the Victory Christian Center Campus at Liberty.

He celebrated his 50th birthday in July and was pastor for more than a decade.

The church’s Facebook page on Wednesday stated: “There is no greater pain than a loved one who our Lord calls home. Our beloved Pastor, Friend and Spiritual Father Lock P. Beachum Jr. transitioned to his home in glory to be with our Lord!”

They rejoice in the life and legacy Beachum has left and the thousands of lives he has impacted and offer prayers to his wife Gloria, Brandon, Patterson, Nyomi, and his parents.

No other details were provided.

In one of several tributes, Cynthia Williams wrote: “What a great Man of God. Loved and respected by many. My prayers and heart goes out to First Lady Gloria, his children, parents and family.”

Dionne Corley wrote: “This is such a devastating loss. Such a Great man. My love and prayers are with Lady Gloria, his family, church family and all that knew and loved him.”
