Two of the rape charges could result in a life prison sentence if convicted. The children were as young as 5 when the offenses are alleged to have begun in 2014 in Mahoning County. Some of the alleged crimes also were committed in 2015, according to the new indictment.

Mahoning County Sheriff’s detectives investigated a tip that led to the indictment. Chipps was indicted on the original charges in late August.
