Suspected drugs taken from Niles home
NILES — Charges could be filed after suspected drugs and money were seized early Friday from an Olive Street home.
Members of the Niles police special response team and the street crimes unit obtained a municipal court warrant for the search following several undercover buys of suspected heroin at the location, police said. The police activity was linked to several overdoses reported at the 3 Olive St. address.
Suspected fentanyl-laced heroin, suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and $1,290 in cash was seized, the report states. The substances were sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation for testing. The drug task force of the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
