Struthers man refuses to give name after overdose

WARREN — A man suspected of overdosing at an apartment in the 3300 block of Dunstan Drive NW Thursday could not be treated at St. Joseph Warren Hospital — because he would not give his name.

Police and MedStar ambulance personnel were dispatched about 4 p.m. to the apartment complex, where they found a man in the hallway not breathing. The ambulance attendants would assist him with shallow breaths that became like snoring sounds.

The report states the man had a tint of blue and it was apparent he was overdosing.

Police officers could not find identification on the man, but one witness told officers he came from a tan / gold GMC vehicle in the parking lot. The plate came back to a Struthers man named William Snowden.

When the hospital personnel would not admit him because he didn’t give a name, the man was taken to Trumbull County jail, where he was confirmed to be Snowden.

Snowden, 39, of Fifth Street, Struthers, was arraigned Friday in Warren Municipal Court on charges of falsification, obstructing official business, disorderly conduct and failure to disclose personal information. He was released after posting $1,500 bond and is scheduled for another appearance on Sept. 23 before Judge Thomas Gysegem.
