Road rage, damage reported

AUSTINTOWN — Township police are investigating a weekend road rage incident that resulted in damage to a vehicle Saturday night.

According to a police report, a man and a woman went to Austintown Police Department at 6:47 p.m. to report the incident. The two said they were on Mahoning Avenue getting on state Route 11 when they came across a silver Toyota Rav 4 that was straddling two lanes. The report states the woman driver beeped at the Toyota to move over. The victim’s vehicle was able to pass, but the Toyota followed.

The two told police the driver of the other vehicle threw a “black blunt object” at their vehicle, causing a dent in the driver-side door.
