CANFIELD — The Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown have promoted Brigid Kennedy to chief mission officer.

Sister Mary McCormick, general superior, said, “Our Mission encompasses our sponsored ministries and those reflecting our charism, from legacy ministries where we have long had a presence to new partnerships that reflect our commitment to Gospel service and social justice. It also includes care for the Sisters whose lives have been the embodiment of that call to witness God’s love in our world.”

McCormick said Kennedy serves the sisters with leadership in finance, human resources, strategic

planning, resource development and their COVID-19 response.

“Brigid has great vision for the ministries and compassion and respect for our Sisters,” she said.
