Jurors continue to deliberate

WARREN — A Trumbull County jury deliberated for a second day Thursday, leaving the courthouse without a verdict in the trial of a Campbell man facing felony charges connected to the Oct. 5, 2020, shooting of a Warren man.

Tre’Mon Dukes, 23, of Tenney Avenue, faces aggravated robbery, felonious assault and having a weapon under restriction charges.

Jurors have had the case for about 12 hours since mid-morning Wednesday, breaking only for lunch. The panel had asked to see videos of police responding to the shooting, but about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Andrew D. Logan told them to go home and resume deliberations 9 a.m. today.

Dukes is one of two men accused of shooting Jody Hall, 18, outside a Charles Avenue NE home.

Jurors also have to consider the testimony by the victim, Warren police officers and two neighbors who had heard the shots and came to Hall’s aid in the front yard where another man was changing a car tire.

Walker is scheduled for trial Oct. 4 on the same charges that Dukes faces.
