Boy, 15, found shot on Hillman Street
Bullets also hit porch of house
YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown police collected 11 bullet shell casings on the front porch of a house in the 400 block of Hillman Street on the South Side.
Police on Wednesday night found a boy, 15, there on the sidewalk after he was shot.
Some of the bullets apparently hit the house because a Youngstown police report is captioned as “shooting into a habitation.”
Police were called there for gunfire at 8:04 p.m. and found the boy, who was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital and was reported in stable condition.
Detectives and members of the crime scene lab were called out to conduct an investigation.
Police, however, on Thursday did not provide any other information, such as where on the boy’s body he was hit.
