AUSTINTOWN — Three women were arrested in the township on drugs after a traffic stop on Hendricks and North Four Mile Run roads.

Monica Kainrad, 51, of Youngstown, Ami Radcliffe, 40, of Youngstown and Tami Slabaugh, 50, of Atwater, were arrested and taken to Mahoning County jail after the traffic stop Friday evening.

According to a report, police stopped a vehicle for no visible registration. Police told the driver, Radcliffe, the reason for the stop but Kainrad said the vehicle was hers but did not get the vehicle registered in her name. The report states Kainrad was nervous, shaking and avoiding eye contact with police while she “continuously reached toward the rear seat floorboard.”

The report states the three became argumentative and denied having anything illegal in the vehicle. Radcliffe eventually said she had methamphetamine, a meth pipe and a suboxone strip in her purse. Slabaugh said she also had “a lot of meth in her purse” among other things, the report states.

In Radcliffe’s purse, police found two bags of meth weighing seven grams and three meth pipes, Slabaugh also had two bags of meth weighing five grams and one meth pipe and the vehicle yielded a container of meth weighing five grams and one meth pipe. In total, the three had 17 grams of meth and five meth pipes.

Radcliffe and Kainrad were released from jail Saturday on $9,750 and $8,500 bond, respectively. Slabaugh is being held on a Portage County warrant for “a secret indictment for a drug offense,” the report states. Court records show all three face charges of drug abuse and drug paraphernalia. Radcliffe has an additional charge of possession of drugs.

All three were in court Monday. Both Radcliffe and Kainrad are due back in court at 9:30 a.m. June 30 for preliminary hearings. Slabaugh will appear at 9 a.m. June 30.
