Man reports assault in city bar’s restroom

YOUNGSTOWN — A man, 22, of Farrell, Pa., told police he was assaulted in the restroom of a bar called The Social, 122 Commerce St., at 12:48 a.m. Sunday.

The man had significant injuries to his face when police officers located him on the sidewalk outside.

He said he was standing at a urinal when two men walked into the room and confronted him, one of them saying they had seen the victim’s music on YouTube. They hit him multiples times around the head and took his cellphone, a police report states.

The victim told police he did not know the two men and had not had a confrontation with them at the bar, but he might have seen them around his hometown of Farrell.

Police found blood on the floor of the restroom. Ambulance personnel evaluated the victim, who went to the hospital for treatment.
