3 boys arrested for breaking into school

BOARDMAN — Three juveniles broke into a school building in Boardman over the weekend, taking a piece of equipment.

Officers responded to Market Street Elementary at 6:49 p.m. Sunday after dispatch advised them about multiple motion alarms.

Officers noticed three juveniles walking east through the field behind the building. After speaking with them, officers found a Nikon VHS camera in the grass nearby.

The oldest of the three boys told law enforcement they did take the camera but discarded it as soon as they saw the officers. He then asked to contact his mother, who then arrived.

While officers secured the building, two security cameras were found to be damaged.

The three juveniles were placed under arrest for breaking and entering, booked into the police department system and then released to parents.
