Search for Salem woman ends with five additional arrests

BOARDMAN — While assisting the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office, Boardman police arrested others in a local hotel.

Officers were dispatched about 11 p.m. Sunday to the Red Roof Inn in Boardman to check a room for Crystal Hoskinson, 29, of Salem, a police report states. Using a master key, officers made entry after knocking on the door and receiving no response.

Four people were seen when the door was opened: one woman and three men. The woman pushed the door closed, and reopened it when officers commanded her to do so, the report states.

Hoskinson was one of the six people in the room.

Used syringes, marijuana pipes and paraphernalia used to smoke meth were observed by officers.

When questioned, no one said anything so everyone was arrested on charges of possession of drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia. When everyone was advised they were under arrest, Hoskinson told officers everything was hers, the report states.

Hoskinson was processed at the Boardman Police Department on charges of obstructing official business, possession of drug-abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia. She also was given a minor misdemeanor citation for a marijuana pipe.

While she was on the phone, she told the other person to “wipe her iPhone clean,” the report states. Hoskinson was transported into Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office custody without further incident.

Also arrested were Lindsey Martin, 26, of Austintown; Perry Deeds, 36, of Garrett, Ind.; Jack Dean, 31, of Boardman; Corrine Missory, 21, of Austintown; and Stephen Cannon, 27, of Austintown.
