Liberty woman jailed on 4 charges

LIBERTY — A 55-year-old Louise Lane woman was video arraigned on four charges after she was accused of busting out windows in a car and menacing others earlier this week at her home.

Donna L. Morrison, of Liberty, appeared via video hookup from the Trumbull County jail Tuesday before Girard Municipal Judge Jeffrey Adler on charges of aggravated menacing, criminal damaging, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Adler set bond at $2,500 and ordered that Morrison have no contact with the victims in the case, a Liberty emergency medical technician and a Marla Lane man. A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. April 14.

A Trumbull County 911 call said a woman at the Louise Lane home was screaming and yelling and breaking out windows of the car shortly before 1 p.m. Monday. She then hit a car with a shovel and chased a man around with the same shovel. She was calling the man her husband, but the man was telling a 911 dispatcher he is not her husband. The 911 report also stated the woman was throwing bricks.

The woman also started swinging at police officers and medical attendants when she reached St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, the report states, where she was taken for observation.

The jail records show Morrison was booked into the Warren facility on Tuesday.
