Police blotters – Austintown

Police activity reported Feb. 5-15:

Feb. 15, 3:22 p.m. — Brandon C. Lazar, 21, 480 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, was arrested on a domestic violence charge.

6:07 a.m. — Catalytic converters were stolen from four potato chip trucks parked at Utz’s, 3760 Oakwood Ave.

Feb. 14, 9:05 a.m. — Rear Ohio plate LAFYA 21 taken off a Dodge Avenger parked at Quality Inn, 870 N. Canfield Niles Road.

4:24 a.m. — A garage was broken into and two dirt bikes were stolen at 4075 Lanterman Road.

Feb. 13, 2:31 a.m. — Tyler I. Crozier, 28, 138 Georgetown Place, Austintown, was issued a criminal summons for disorderly conduct following a call to 144 Country Green Drive regarding a man possibly attempting to break in.

Feb. 12, 6:29 p.m. — Theft of $73.60 reported at Papa Johns, 1502 S. Raccoon Road.

Feb. 10, 6:20 p.m. — A generator was stolen from a truck bed at Sleep Inn, 5555 Patriot Blvd.

4:51 p.m. — Franklin G. Horvath Jr., 56, 1643 W. Hampton Drive, Austintown, was arrested on a theft charge following a shoplifting call at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

3:24 p.m. — Nicole M. Russell, 38, 1594 Fountain Square Drive, Austintown, was arrested on a theft charge following a shoplifting call at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Feb. 9, 10:47 p.m. John E. Trimboli, 49, 4225 Kirk Road, Austintown, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired, and was cited for driving while under suspension, failure to control and failure to drive within marked lanes, after a vehicle drove off the road in an attempt to avoid traffic control for a previous vehicle crash on Kirk Road.

10:30 a.m. — Theft of a television, computer and other electronics reported at 2239 Woodland Trace.

Feb. 8, 6:03 p.m. — Ronnie J. Kollar, 45, 149 Pope Drive, Wampum, Pa., was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired after he struck a vehicle in the parking lot of Hollywood Gaming, 777 Hollywood Drive.

Feb. 7, 11:41 p.m. — No arrest was made regarding a woman who fired a gun toward a house at 1651 Moorefield Ave.

Feb. 6, 11:27 p.m. — Broken back window reported at 160 N. Navarre Ave., with a man seen fleeing on foot.

2:10 p.m. — A 2004 blue minivan was reported stolen but later located by loss prevention in the parking lot of Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

12:34 p.m. –Joseph M. Frampton, 31, 32 N. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a domestic violence charge following a physical assault at 981 Compass West.

Feb. 5, 6:03 p.m. — Theft of sports cards reported at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
