Liberty man arraigned after standoff

LIBERTY — A Liberty man arrested after a standoff late Saturday at his home was arraigned Monday on misdemeanor charges.

Thomas G. Moore II , 32, of Mansell Drive, appeared on video hookup between the Trumbull County jail and Girard Municipal Court on charges of domestic violence, inducing panic and obstructing official business. He pleaded not guilty, and Judge Jeffrey Adler set a pretrial hearing for 9 a.m. March 10.

Bond was set at $7,500, and as of Monday afternoon, Moore remained in jail, according to records.

A 911 report states a woman told her father to call 911 after 9 p.m. Saturday because of an argument with her husband at their home on Mansell Drive. The report states were two children in the home at the time.

Reports state Liberty police blocked off a section of Mansell Drive for an hour Saturday night until Moore walked out of the home on his own.

Moore was told by the judge Monday not to have contact with the woman and to stay 1,000 feet away from his home at 1120 Mansell Drive.
