Youngstown police arrest suspects on drug charges after two raids

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown police vice unit officers served a search warrant at 498 Idora Ave. on the South Side about 4 p.m. Wednesday, arresting three people and confiscating drugs and weapons.

After knocking and getting no answer, police entered the home and found Anthony Bonner 39, who lives there, near a bag of crack cocaine and detained him.

Bonner was later charged with first-degree felony drug possession, another drug charge and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Robert Jeter, 39, also of the Idora address, was ordered down the stairs and arrested.

He was later charged with first-degree felony drug possession and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Police found crack cocaine in multiple locations in the house, separate cash amounts of $721, $304 and $3,458; three handguns; a digital scale; and marijuana.

Bonner admitted one of the guns was his and that he had bought it recently at a Warren gun show and had someone else show their driver’s license to buy it, police said.

At about 6 p.m., vice unit officers went to 411 Glenwood Ave. with a search warrant and arrested two people after finding drugs.

Officers knocked and got no answer, then broke open the door but found that a woman was behind the door pushing it back and barricading herself in the house. She eventually allowed the door to be opened, and officers went inside, finding Paul Henderson, 37, of the Glenwood address, coming out of the bathroom with wet hands.

The woman was identified as Nakeisha Henderson, 35, of the Glenwood address, who was charged with obstructing official business.

Police confiscated crack cocaine from the toilet, a digital scale, $1,430 in cash, other crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and marijuana on the ground under the bathroom window.

There was a puddle of water from the toilet to the area of the bathroom window, police said.

Paul Henderson was taken to the Mahoning County jail, charged with a first-degree felony cocaine-possession charge plus another drug charge and tampering with evidence.
