Youngstown man sentenced in drug and weapons case

Arthur L. Finley, 39, of Helena Avenue in Youngstown, was sentenced to more than four years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing and distributing heroin, cocaine and fentanyl, and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

He will be on probation for three years after serving four years and four months in federal prison. U.S. District Court Judge James S. Gwin presided over the case.

Finley was indicted after a raid at his house by Youngstown police Jan. 2, 2020. His sentencing in Cleveland was last week; he had pleaded guilty earlier.

Using a search warrant, police searched Finley’s home and confiscated $1,620 in cash and eight individually wrapped bags of crack cocaine from Finley, two bags of crack cocaine and a bag of methamphetamine in a cat litter box, a bag of heroin from the kitchen table and several weapons, police said at the time.
