Woman killed in crash identified
KNOX TOWNSHIP — The Ohio State Highway Patrol has identified the woman killed Sunday when a car was driven into her home as Jennifer Moreland, 41.
A Homeworth man, Joseph Matz, was traveling on Knox School Road in a 2014 GMC pickup truck at 2:49 a.m. when he went off the left side of the road and struck the home of Moreland and her husband, Joshua, 41, at 2452 Knox School Road.
Joshua Moreland was listed in critical condition in an area hospital. Matz sustained minor injuries.
Alcohol and drugs are suspected as a factor in the crash, according to a news release from the Lisbon post of the highway patrol. The crash remains under investigation.
