Police activity reported Dec. 31-Jan. 13:

Jan. 13 — A report was taken regarding a hit-skip, two-vehicle crash on East Main Street.

Jan. 13 — Following a call to the 400 block of South Briarcliff Drive for an animal complaint, a sick, rabid raccoon was killed.

Jan. 12 — A Maple Street resident surrendered a stun gun for destruction.

Jan. 12 — Following a traffic stop on Herbert Road, Kevin Merchant, 29, 219 E. Lucius Ave., Youngstown, was charged with falsification and driving while under suspension, and was arrested on warrants out of Campbell and Columbus.

Jan. 12 — Following a traffic stop on East Main Street, Ja’El Maelin Smith, 20, 1017 Gibbs Ave., North Canton, was arrested on a charge of drug possession.

Jan. 11 — Following a report of threats at a Garwood Drive residence, a man was contacted and advised to cease all contact and communications. No charges were filed.

Jan. 10 — Following a traffic stop on East Main Street, Callie Bender, 19, 10808 Akron Canfield Road, Canfield, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jan. 9 — Following an investigation into a suspicious vehicle parked at Profile Energy, 535 N. Broad St., Thomas McNally, 19, 552 Greenmont Drive, Canfield, and Jonas Gura, 19, 561 East Regency Circle, Canfield, were each charged with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jan. 6 — Gerald Kransnasky Jr., 56, 160 Homestead Drive, Boardman, was arrested on a warrant for menacing by stalking, related to a criminal trespass warning issued on Dec. 30, a criminal trespass charge on Jan. 3, and continued harassment and threats made on Jan. 6.

Jan. 4 — Following a traffic stop on East Main Street, Retia Crawford, 32, 504 Lane Drive, Warren, was charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, three counts of possession of felony 5 drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse.

Jan. 3 — Following a call to a West Main Street location regarding a wanted person, Alaina Infante, 35, 2841 Orchard Ave., Warren, was arrested on a warrant out of Girard.

Dec. 31 — Following a dispatch to a Market Street location in Beaver Township regarding a wanted person, Brittney Fitzgerald, 33, 1370 Powersdale Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear.

Police activity reported Dec. 20-27:

Dec. 27 — Overdose reported in the parking lot of Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St.

Dec. 22 — Following a two-vehicle crash on East Main Street, Gerald Brundege Jr., 52, 1590 Price Road, Youngstown, was cited on a charge of assured clear distance.

Dec. 22 — Following a warrant check on Youngstown-Salem Road, Nathan Knight, 36, and Jaymee Cayo, 27, both of 929-1/2 N. Market St., Lisbon, were arrested on Canfield Mayor’s Court warrants for failure to appear.

Dec. 20 — Following a report of a runaway female from a Jade Circle residence, the female was located. Since she was 18, she made the choice not to return home.
