The episode of “Fishing University” shot at Mosquito Lake State Park is airing this week on the Outdoor Channel and the World Fishing Network.

Fishing pros Charlie Ingram and Ray Brazier came to Trumbull County in September to film the episode.

Trumbull County Tourism played host to the crew, taking them to sites that had the potential to draw in visitors to enjoy what we have to offer here in our area.

According to Beth Kotwis Carmichael, executive director of Trumbull County Tourism, “Hosting Fishing U is a great opportunity for the area to highlight our outdoor adventures. The show’s airing in January is also a great segue as the travel industry celebrates “Plan Your Vacation” month. With a national and international audience, we look forward to welcoming visitors to the county, when people are ready to travel again.”

The episode premiered Monday. Remaining show times this week are 9 a.m. Saturday on the Outdoor Channel and 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m today on World Fishing Network.

Within each 30-minute episode of the show, a 90-second promotional spot will be included. The spot was created to mirror the marketing efforts of Trumbull County Tourism.
