WARREN — A Girard man was sentenced Monday to six months in prison after failing to report to his parole officer.

Ricky L. Snyder, 39, 1743 Liberty Ave., pleaded guilty to an escape charge before Common Pleas Judge Peter J. Kontos.

Prosecutors said Snyder was released on parole March 8, 2019, and failed to report. Snyder, who was declared at-large on Nov. 7, 2019, had served a prison term after violating his probation in 2017 on a conviction for theft of an elderly person, court records show.
