Youngstown resident arraigned in assaults

NILES — A Youngstown man was arraigned Thursday on multiple charges after police said he was involved in separate incidents in Warren and Weathersfield involving assaults of the same woman.

Crashawn Hudson, 24, of 328 Chicago Ave., faces charges of burglary, assault, escape, two counts of domestic violence, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Niles Municipal Judge Christopher Shaker set Hudson’s bond at $100,000 and scheduled a 9:15 a.m. Wednesday preliminary hearing.

Hudson, who was arrested early Thursday, remained in the Trumbull County jail as of Sunday evening.

Weathersfield officers called for assistance as they responded to a domestic incident shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 3800 block of Forest Ridge Court. According to a Trumbull County 911 report, a tall, slim man had kicked a 46-year-old woman and was outside “destroying stuff.” The report states a second woman may have been involved.

The confrontation may have gotten physical, according to the report, as Weathersfield officers requested backup from Niles and Austintown units. The report states that Hudson was placed under arrest about 7:24 p.m.

About four hours earlier, the same 46-year-old woman told a Warren police officer a man tried to hit her as she rode in his vehicle in the area of Randolph Street and Commerce Avenue NW. When the woman jumped out of the car, the report states, the man threw a bottle of liquor at her after dumping the contents on her face and head. The man also threatened to kill the woman, and the report states a witness verified this threat.
