I-680 crash kills 1, injures 2 others
YOUNGSTOWN — One woman was killed and two others were injured in a head-on crash around 10 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 680 north near the Glenwood Avenue exit.
Youngstown police did not release the names of the victims as of Thursday evening and the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office also is involved in the investigation. It is unclear why one of the vehicles was driving the wrong direction.
Both the northbound and southbound lanes of I-680 were closed for several hours after the crash.
No charges have been filed yet.
