Exterior work at Meijer wrapping up
BOARDMAN — Construction on the new Meijer location in Boardman is continuing.
In early 2021, a mass hiring will begin, said Frank Guglielmi, a spokesman for the company.
The company has said in the past it anticipates hiring 250 people for the 159,000-square foot location on U.S. Route 224 near Tippecanoe Road.
The store will open in late spring or early summer next year, with the company announcing the exact date about 60 days prior, Guglielmi said.
Exterior work is closer to being finalized, which will give way to interior work, he said.
