Austintown

Police activity reported Oct. 11-22:

Oct. 22, 12:20 a.m. — Following a traffic stop on Niles-Carver Road, Devon M. Talley Jr., 28, 449 Falls Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on charges of trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine and schedule IV and III substances, child endangering, obstructing official business, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana, was cited for speeding (50 in a 35 zone), driving while under suspension, and driving while under the influence, and was taken into custody on a Mahoning County warrant for escape.

Oct. 21, 11:44 a.m. — Theft of a cellphone reported at the Hampton Inn, 880 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

12:06 a.m. — A vehicle was vandalized at 225 Carnegie Drive.

Oct. 20, 4:39 p.m. — Theft from a vehicle reported at 4595 Lanterman Road.

Oct. 19, 2:57 p.m. –Someone poured bleach into the gas tank of a vehicle parked at 25 N. Navarre Ave.

8:46 a.m. — Items were stolen from a shed by a white man in his mid 20s who callers said fled in a white SUV.

7:48 a.m. — Criminal damaging of numerous mailboxes reported at 1443 Fountain Square.

Oct. 18, 7:55 p.m. Following a traffic stop on North Kimberly Avenue, Kirk D. Snipes, 31, 417 Flagler Lane, Boardman, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

3:48 p.m. — Theft of $2,000 from a bank account reported by a Westchester Drive resident.

3:45 p.m. — Theft of a purse reported from the break room at Home Depot, 6100 Mahoning Ave.

2:26 p.m. Following a traffic stop on North Canfield Niles Road, Patrick J. Clossin, 56, 32 Hickory Lane, Warren, was arrested on a Liberty arrest warrant, and Angela M. Edwards, 52, 1767 Briar St. SE, Warren, was arrested on a charge of drug abuse-heroin.

12:33 p.m. — Eric R. Anish, 42, 4624 Rhode Island Drive, Austintown, voluntarily turned himself in on a Mahoning County Court 4 warrant for failure to appear on hit-skip and marked lanes citations.

2:09 a.m. — Following a call to Quality Inn and Suites, 870 N. Canfield Niles Road, regarding an assault on an employee, Xavier G. Williams, 21, 540 Mabel St., Youngstown, was arrested on charges of breaking and entering, assault on a police officer (spitting), obstructing official business and disorderly conduct.

Oct. 17, 7:54 p.m. — Following a traffic stop on South Meridian Road, Blaze A. Vath, 21, 3210 Flo-Lor Drive, Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of drug possession and was cited for speeding (51 in a 35 zone).

7 p.m. — Theft of two doors from a Jeep reported at 3334 S. Meridian Road.

1:31 p.m. — David T. Black, 61, 1075 Ohltown Road, Austintown, was arrested on a charge of theft and was arrested on an Austintown warrant for domestic violence following a shoplifting call at Walmart, 6100 Mahoning Ave.

Oct. 16, 10:12 p.m. Following a call to Eat’n Park, 5459 Mahoning Ave. regarding an unwanted person, Melvin V. White, 58, 695 Bane St., Warren, was arrested on a charge of criminal trespassing.

9:55 a.m. — Various items were reported stolen from a Notre Dame Avenue residence.

Oct. 15, 4:31 p.m. — Theft of merchandise and money via the internet reported at a Westminister Avenue location.

3:39 p.m. — Theft of a saxophone reported at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road.

Noon — Theft of medication reported at a Fitzgerald Avenue residence.

Oct. 14, 11:25 a.m. — Abandoned 2006 black Ford Fusion reported at Flynn Tire, Mahoning Avenue.

Oct. 13, 11:36 a.m. — Unauthorized charges on a credit card reported by a Woodland Trail resident.

Oct. 12, 5:12 p.m. — Theft of a cup holder reported at 4286 New Road.

Oct. 11, 10:45 p.m. Following a call to Sheetz, 5499 Mahoning Ave. regarding an unwanted person, Melvin V. White, 58, 695 Bane St., Warren, was arrested on a charge of criminal trespassing.

Boardman

Police activity reported Oct. 15-21:

Oct. 21, 3:13 a.m. — Following a dispatch to 425 Boardman Canfield Road regarding a wanted person, Dominique O. King, 29, 838 Ohio Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on Boardman warrants for robbery, having weapons while under a disability, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drugs, criminal simulation, drug abuse, resisting arrest and obstructing official business.

Oct. 20, 9:27 p.m. — Crystal A. Taylor, 35, 2439 Wilcox St., Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of theft following a shoplifting call at Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

6:28 a.m. — Following a call to the area of Glenwood Avenue and U.S. 224 regarding a driver passed out at the wheel, Steven Swartzfager, 30, 52 Southwoods Ave., Boardman, was arrested on charges of driving while under the influence and possession of drug abuse instruments.

Oct. 19, 2:40 p.m. — Michael T. Kerns, 40, 2471 Jennifer Drive, Poland, was arrested on a charge of theft following a shoplifting call at Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Oct. 18, 10:15 p.m. Following a call to 5225 Trotter Drive regarding a fight, Charles T. Cialella, 29, was arrested on charges of with inducing panic, obstructing official business, and disorderly conduct.

12:02 p.m. — Following a call to 869 East Midlothian Blvd. regarding a man pulling a gun on a driver, Antuan J. Fields, 24, 729 W. LaClede Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on charges of having weapons while under a disability, improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was arrested on a Mahoning County Common Pleas Court warrant for a probation violation.

Oct. 17, 10:29 p.m. — Following a call to Aqua Pazzo, 492 McClurg Road, regarding a fight, Jocelyn Pannunzio, 33, 7998 Meadowbrooke Trail, Poland, was arrested on a charge of felonious assault.

8:13 p.m. — Following a traffic stop on Chester Drive, Hosea S. Hodges, 19, 135 Millet Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

1:40 a.m. — Nicholas V. Vernucci, 28, 3010 Flo-Lor Drive, Youngstown, was arrested on a Boardman warrant for theft.

Oct. 16, 10:19 p.m. — Following a traffic stop on Boardman-Poland Road, Wade V. Daniels, 56, 41 Allerton Court, Youngstown, was arrested on a Campbell warrant for violation of a court order.

6:15 p.m. — Shamieka L. Allen, 33, 327 N. Truesdale Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of theft following a shoplifting call at Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

9:23 a.m. — Elijah J. Taylor, 41, 346 Mistletoe Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on charges of theft and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was arrested on a Boardman warrant for theft following a shoplifting call at Home Depot, 7001 Southern Blvd.

Oct. 15, 1:24 p.m. — Michelle J. Rogers, 30, 500 W. Chalmers Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of theft following a shoplifting call at Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Canfield

Police activity reported Oct. 12-17:

Oct. 17 –Following a traffic stop on Fairground Boulevard, Patrick Geary, 30, 1256 Lincoln Ave., Steubenville, was charged with drug possession (edible marijuana) and was cited for speeding (50 in a 35 mph zone).

Oct. 14 — Following a traffic stop on North Broad Street, Sierra Weingart, 27, 3138 Diana Drive, Canfield, was charged with drug abuse (marijuana) and was cited for improper operation at a stop sign.

Oct. 12 — Following a wanted person investigation on Boardman-Canfield Road, David Montemarano, 47, 775 Canterbury Lane, Boardman, was arrested on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear.
