Trumbull reports one new death from virus

Trumbull County reported one new COVID-19 death on Saturday, bringing the county’s new total to 127.

Mahoning and Columbiana counties remained at 274 and 71 deaths, respectively, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

Across Ohio, 4,411 deaths were reported, an increase of eight from Friday.

Mahoning County also had the largest increase in cases reported Saturday. A total of 2,942 cases were reported, which is seven more than the day before.

Since last week in Mahoning County, 47 cases have been reported.

Seeing an increase of six in 24 hours was Trumbull County, with a new total of 1,806. That’s 28 more cases in one week.

No new cases were reported Saturday in Columbiana County, where the count remained at 1,902. In the last week, the new number of cases rose by 35.

The state has totaled 136,568 cases, an increase of 1,242 on Saturday from the day before.

More than 6,000 new cases have been reported in the last week across Ohio.

There are 14,284 hospitalizations in the state as a result of the virus, the ODH reported.

A presumed 114,066 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Ohio.
